[...] Sean Azzopardi’s collected his series of non-autobiographical autobiographical comics (”I’m not sure I like Steve Jones, really.” says Sean of his non-authorial insert an Overspill interview) into a handsome short trade. Having not talked serously to Sean for a while, I had no idea he was doing so, so was a joy to get - also surprised me that I didn’t actually have all the minis which comprised it. As a slice-of-life piece, to my mind, it’s at its strongest when it slices away from the avatar and tightly observes the people moving in and out of Steve’s life in his life as a Porter in a falling-apart building full of falling-apart people. The portraits of the other porters, particular, are cutting and true and a little bit scary. The medium is used well, the message worth listening to and I recommend it strongly. [...]
